Have A Good Rep / Lack Of Communication During A Nationwide Outages
As long as you have a good contact internally to help coordinate everything with the RESPORG they usually get it right but you have to have someone solid on the inside as an account rep to make sure things are pushed forward. If you don't have a good account rep it can take a LONG time for you to get a simple number transferred. I used to use Quest but once CenturyLink purchased them it became much harder to do anything. After their lack of communication when they had a nationwide toll free outage on September 3 - 4, 2015 and they did no communication with customers - I had to resort to Twitter to find out anything (because they shut down their online chat that night at its normal time even with the outage) and even then CenturyLink could not take the time to give us an hourly update, much less a notification stating they thought everything was resolved. I am now in process of moving our toll free service to a Legacy TW Telecom / Level3 solution.
Just a big phone company
Century Link still operates like they are a monopoly. Service is slow and expensive. We made them our Resporg because our local service is with them. We are in the process of moving to VOIP (Star2Star) and we will find a better Resporg to hold our toll free numbers. Bill Quimby and the two ladies that work with him are the best. We have used his service for about 10 years and you will not find anyone better.
They're a big company but at least you know what you get with them
We have everything with Century Link but appreciate your great service and options.
